Who is DuluxGroup ?
In Australia and New Zealand, DuluxGroup has been involved with the manufacturing and marketing of paint and related systems since 1904 and is one of the largest manufacturers of paint products. DuluxGroup Australia was formerly a major player in all paint markets (decorative, automotive, refinish, industrial, powder coatings), but sold off the technical markets (and the Clayton site) to PPG Industries Inc., concentrating on decorative, wood-care and powder coatings.
Dulux has been working with FAIR Consulting on numerous digital development projects and we have found them to be a very reliable partner. They have constantly challenged us and pushed us to think outside the box whilst being very disciplined with their project management and agile methodologies allowing us to deliver on time and on budget.

Engagement Summary
FAIR Consulting Group engaged with DuluxGroup to support a number of projects. We worked to help define the current landscape, analyse the As-Is Solution architecture and help with the integration needs. Specifically, during our engagement, we focused on the integration points of SAP Hybris Commerce and Adobe Experience Manager to the SAP CRM and ERP backend systems. Our goal was to support the consumers and traders focused on the New Zealand website and e-commerce portal.
DELIVERED PROJECTS
- Dulux NZ rollout
- Dulux Trade B2B and Omni-channel discovery
- Lincoln Sentry Online Store V3
- Dulex Trade Color (Yates) - Micro services
Following the successful rollout of the new and improved Dulux AU website, the Dulux Group is now embarking on new website development for Dulux NZ. The MVP for the Dulux NZ website is expected to be modeled after existing AU functionality. This development will be underpinned by several technologies that will need to come together to produce a cohesive and user-friendly result.
The implementation took place using the Hybris e-commerce platform. Hybris further integrates with AEM, SAP CRM, SAP ECC, Adobe Campaigns and Live Chat to provide a complete e-commerce website solution. The Dulux NZ website is expected to model after AU with minimal differences for MVP.
Dulux is looking to transform their B2B customer experience. This project is a 3 week discovery to identify the pain points and propose a tactical road-map to revamp the Dulux B2B landscape.
For store update, FAIR proceeded with the migration of current features V1 & V2. Once migration is completed, SAP commerce features are implemented in line with LS backlog.
To complete the development of store, critical features were delivered and implementation was delivered in three phases;
- P1: Technology review & migration</
- P2: Hybris to ECC6 EDI integration
- P3: Transactional website
The Dulux Trade Colour Microservices Implementation project will deliver a new microservice to provide a reusable and performance-optimised API for querying and filtering colour information from the existing Dulux colour and tinting formula database.
